Emma-Jayne Minihane, PhDScientist II
BSc (Hons), Molecular & Cellular Biology, University of Bath PhD, Biological Sciences, University of Cambridge I am originally from the tiny island of Jersey in the Channel Islands (not New Jersey, important to note). I completed my PhD at the University of Cambridge which focused on optimizing combinations of BH3 mimetic with ERK1/2 pathway inhibitors in melanoma and colorectal cancer, which is where my interest in precision medicine began. I next moved to the Letai lab for my postdoc, where my research focused on translating dynamic BH3 profiling from a research tool into a clinical tool for use in guiding therapy in AML. This involves obtaining an IDE from the FDA. Anthony Letai left DFCI to become the NCI director and so I moved to the Davids lab to continue my research with this wonderful team. In my spare time, I enjoy weightlifting, being by the water, reading thriller books, drawing, and playing with my crazy cat Milo. |
