Charles Herbaux, M.D.Professor in Hematology, 2023, Lille University School of Medicine
Previous Postdoctoral Research Fellow M.D., 2014, Lille University School of Medicine, France MSc, 2012, Lille University of Biology and Health, France Charles joined the Davids Lab as a visiting scientist, as part of his translational research project on CLL, T-cell prolymphocytic leukemia (T-PLL), and other lymphomas at the Lille University School of Medicine and CHRU de Lille, Lille, FRANCE. This work is primarily focused on translational research leading to clinical trials. His work is part of a collaboration between DFCI and FILO as well as the LYSA group in France. He brought to the Davids Lab prior laboratory experience in Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia, as well as his clinical experience in hematology. He was studying how cellular signalling cascades and cell death are affected by BCR and TCR pathway inhibition, and how these results correlate with clinical outcomes in trials. Ultimately, the aims of his clinical and research efforts are to help develop novel therapies that improve outcomes for patients afflicted with CLL, T-PLL, and other lymphomas. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, running, playing table football and exploring the great city of Boston as well as the northeastern United States. |
