Davids Lab - Translational CLL Research

The Davids Lab
TRANSLATIONAL CLL RESEARCH

Picture

Stephen Chong, PhD

Postdoctoral Research Fellow
PhD, 2017, National University of Singapore

Stephen joined the Davids Lab in 2019 after a 2-year postdoctoral training with Professor Shazib Pervaiz in a Redox and Cancer Biology Lab at National University of Singapore.

He worked on elucidating the effects of post-translational modifications of the Bcl-2 family members on BH3 mimetics as well as identifying potential drugs to target these modifications as a goal to sensitize CLL cells to BH3 mimetics.

He brought to the Davids Lab his previous laboratory experience of molecular and fundamental work ranging from protein, mRNA and in vitro cellular work in hematological cancers.

In his spare time, he likes to gym, run and play video games. He hopes to explore Boston, Massachusetts and the rest of the country with his wife.
