Fen Zhu, PhDPrevious Postdoctoral Research Fellow
PhD, 2019, University of Wisconsin-Madison Fen joined the Davids Lab as a postdoctoral fellow in September 2020 upon completing 5 years of predoctoral research and one-year of postdoctoral research in Dr. Lixin Rui’s laboratory at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her thesis work primarily focused on understanding oncogenic signalling in diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL). At the Davids lab, she investigated cell death signalling through BH3 profiling and evaluated combination therapy for CLL and DLBCL. Her research aimed to uncover disease mechanisms and identify drug targets for CLL and DLBCL which could lead to better therapies for patients afflicted by these cancers. She brought to the Davids Lab her previous experience in lymphoma biology and sound lab skills in molecular and cell biology. In her spare time, she enjoys watching TV by herself, spending time with her family, hiking, and traveling to warmer places such as Florida and California. |
